Question: Is it just me... or does it bother anyone else that on the yahoo sports homepage it lists ufc not mma?

The UFC is only a brand in MMA, their are still other brands out there as for the 2nd answer i disagree. these are national sports. The NFL is the only pro leauge, their are semi pro leagues around, their is nfl europe main part nfl, AFL had its own tab before their lockout. NHL has ahl which is its lower league. same with baseball and AAA, AA, A teams. Yahoo focuses its tab in american leagues... soccer has a soccer tab, not the US league, or world cup. but soccer. and other racing leagues/ football leagues have a spot under the more tab... so if UFC is the tab their should be a strike force etc tab in the more spot, if it is not mma tab. in my opinion and looking at their site

NFL isn't the only pro football league. NHL isn't the only pro hockey league. Nascar isn't the only racing league. NCAA isn't the only collegiate athletic association. Not all sports can get their own tab; UFC is still the biggest MMA affiliate, so it gets primary consideration.

No not just you. it bothers me too. there is a financial deal between the ufc and yahoo. i think it came into agreement around ufc 100 it used to be known as mma, then over night it changed. also to who ever thinks that the ufc is the same as nfl is mistaken. mma is the same as boxing. boxing has wba, wbc, ibf, ibo, wbo etc.. and the NABF but it is all under boxing. it really is sad that yahoo has made this transaction with the ufc. especially since the ufc has become more and more alike with the WWE instead of KOTC, Bellator, Strikeforce or K-1, or M1 Global. Just like the ranking, they suck too. Only the UFC and the sisterbrand WEC sucks.

It bothers me also people who dont know much about MMA see the UFC as MMA because its so mainstream and a little overrated the UFC isnt the only MMA organization out there with a good talent pool. There others like DREAM ,DYNAMITE ,WEC and Strikforce . but hate that UFC has bought most of its competitors like Affliction and PRIDE :(

Yet another UFC hater. I agree that they should switch it to MMA, but they won't. They switched it to MMA about a week a few years ago, but the hits to the page dropped off drastically, because people didn't know about MMA, just UFC. It's 100% true what he said, but you flat out deny it. They report an all types of baseball leagues and tournaments from around the world, but they just say MLB. They've reported on Chinese or European leagues in the NBA tab.

It doesn't bother me because I could care less about MMA or the UFC for that matter but I can see how you could be biased towards it since the UFC is just a promotional company that showcases MMA fighters.
